The 5th of June is observed as World Environment Day annually led by UNEP. “Only One Earth” is the campaign for World Environment Day in 2022.
Earth faces a triple planetary challenges:
- Climate is heating up too quickly for people and nature to adapt
2. Habitat loss of estimated 1 million species , threatened with extinction
3. Pollution continues to poison our air, land and water
The day calls for collective as well as transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet.
