Finally the Sindh Forest Department issued notification declaring the intertidal zone of Thatta and Sujawal districts, including the areas of Korangi and Phitti creek as Protected Forests.
This is the zone where the islands of Bundal and Buddo exist, & are in greedy eyes for real estate development.
Meanwhile federal minister Ali Zaidi said the Port Qasim Authority would challenge the Sindh government`s decision in court because both islands fell within the territorial limits of the Port Qasim as per coordinates.
Port Qasim comes in the domain of federal government, which desires publicly to build a modern city on Bundal & Buddo islands.
